Title: MadMax

Embraced Demo

Postby EYESORE STUDIO » Mon Oct 09, 2006 15:43

I believe the one listed is legit because I have the same one as in the auction even the same patterns on the cassette itself. I believe that the band may have sent these to labels, fanzines, etc to promote themselves (pre-release-different songs-even more rare?) before they officially released the demo. I was happy to see this because I always wondered about my copy as I purchased it second hand from someone who used to run a fanzine. He told me that the band sent it to him to review for the fanzine.

Haha, that's funny. Yeah, it definitely looks like the cover was written with a pen...

I've heard of alot of bootlegs of these running around. If you got it from someone who says they got it from the band, it's probably legit, but otherwise...
Yes.

Well, a pre-release promo demo tape made by the band themselves, is pretty much a bootleg to begin with ;)

I've actually never seen a pic of the other Embraced demo other than the picture that is on the Metal Archives site. But if this were just a copy of the Embraced demo listed in the Metal Archives, it would probably have the same songs as it or at least the same song tiltles. The last song on the demo (I have no clue as to what it is called or if it was ever named) is definitely not one of the 3 songs off of the Embraced demo listed on the Metal Archives site. And I have never heard it anywhere else. The song "Track II" is on the Embraced demo, but with another name. That tells me that when this demo was put out that the song had not been named yet. Someone please send me an original pic of their Embraced demo (different artwork than this one) to compare - eyesorestudio@gmail.com.

-Thanks

Doesn't anyone else think it's weird to sell promo material?

What does the cassette look like? Is it professionally printed on or hand written on? Clear or black?

Oh wait... I finally get what's going on. The 3rd track is titled Independent, isn't it... Originally I thought that it meant that it was an independent release (as if the very very demo packaging didn't give that away), but I couldn't figure out why it was numbered. In fact, I thought that 1. Embraced was the title of the demo, 3. Independent was how it was released, but I couldn't figure out what track 2 was. I guess all 3 are track titles since Embraced is also a song on the demo, not just the demo title. The 3rd track being called Independent rather than The Prodigal Son just threw me I guess.
Yes.
