Seriously, go see Iron Reagan when they tour near you - best crossover thrash band I've seen... ever?

Carcass, Napalm Death, Voivod, Obituary and Herod.

Napalm Death was awesome but played too short and had pretty bad sound. Still my favourite of the evening.
Carcass was really good and had great sound. The musicianship was a notch above everything else.
Voivod was... boring. Haven't really listened to them that much though.
Obituary had great sound but was kinda boring - too much midtempo-stuff.
Herod was really heavy and better than both Obituary and Voivod. It was also nice to have a band on the bill that stood apart more from the rest of the bands musically.

Not come across Herod before.

Voivod were dull when I saw them, really didn't enjoy them.
I quite liked Obituary live though, just solid Florida DM.
Carcass and Napalm Death both put on great shows though. Although I did leave a Napalm Death show early once because they were a massive letdown after Anaal Nathrakh.

LS:

Scar Symmetry - pretty decent, not the best I've seen but by no means the worst.
Eluveitie - Haven't seen them for a few years, really enjoyed the show.
Epica - Over the top, bombastic, and a great performance.
so it begins...

Anthrax :headbang:
Slayer :headbang: :headbang:

Missed Kvelertak (not too bothered), got there during Anthrax. Put on as good a show as last time I saw them, and got a pretty good reaction overall. Slayer were relentless, over an hour and a half non-stop, no encore, and closed with South Of Heaven/Reign In Blood/Angel of Death. Awesome. Fourth time I've seen them and by far the best.
so it begins...

Not a massive fan of them, saw them a year or two ago and wasn't overly impressed.
