I go on band forums. The BTA boards are the best! 8)
When the mountains crumble into the sea
When the stars fall from the heavens and scorch the earth
Then every knee will bow before the flame
And every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
A fire that cannot be quenched

They probably talk in real life....they're not exactly a rare breed.

Someone once told me to impress me, but I forgot and have no regrets.

exactly. hardcore kids (or hXc over here) are a dime a dozen, and completely generic for the most part. yet another reason why the American music scene sucks. that and emo (maybe thats why people here like the new extol cd so much  )

Extol's new CD has nothing to do with emo. In fact, I'd say that 99.9% of the bands currently being labelled 'emo' actually have nothing to do with emo.

It's like comparing 90s angst-rock to metal.

that may be true, except for the fact that their entire image is saturated with emo-ness (if that is a word). I am actually doing a review of the cd for my college newspaper and am really struggling with identifying a style for their new cd.

Emo music is a form of punk. BTW, Extol doesn't even LOOK emo. When you make cds better than Extol, then you can start complaining about them.
