Mental Destruction & Crescens Collective

Postby thewhippingpost » Sat Dec 01, 2012 5:40

Has anybody heard anything whatsoever about the following bands and if they are still around and making new music...or maybe doing something else under a different name??

Mental Destruction
Sanctum
Parca Pace
Azure Skies
Mago

Never get tired of listening to their old stuff, but hoping that eventually they'll release something new! :)

Funny that you ask about this stuff. I saw Håkan Paulsson yesterday. He plays in Counterblast (awesome band!). I thought about talking to him about Sanctum and stuff. Perhaps Nebulon. :P But I had to get to the bus.

I've been wondering the same. They don't make a big number out of themselves or their possible recordings or other projects. Samuel Durling knows but doesn't tell.

P.S. You forgot Nebulon.

LOL!!! Very possible! :)

Stink...maybe next time! Hmm...Counterblast...never heard of them. Are they industrial too?
Ahh...didn't even think of Nebulon. Of course, I've kinda just considered that one a dead end for a long time now. They only had that one song on the In the Shadow of Death comp right?

Samuel Durling knows but doesn't tell.

He used to be quite forthcoming with delicious info when I was doing the webzine thing and HM, but we haven't spoken in a couple years. I think you are definitely right though...he does know. :?

Counterblast are not industrial. Allthough, Paulsson makes some noizes for them. They are a sludge kinda band. Really good.

Nebulon only has that track out, yes. But that track is awesome! Would really like to hear more stuff.

Last thing I've heard of was that DVD http://www.musik-sammler.de/media/674052 with videos of some of the bands and some new mp3 stuff. Got mine via discogs more than a year ago, don't know how it's distributed...

I'll still check them out. If they're good, they're good. :)
Darn, I was kinda hoping there was some Nebulon out there I didn't know about.

Yeah, I bought that from Jan directly about 3 years ago since I couldn't find it anywhere else. Good stuff. :)

Broke out some Mental Destruction today and started wondering if anyone had heard anything whatsoever over the last few years about MD, or the other bands listed in this thread...Sanctum, Azure Skies, Mago, Parca Pace, & Nebulon. I'm guessing probably not, but doesn't hurt to ask.

BTW...I checked out Counterblast and enjoyed their stuff. Thanks for the recommendation!

Didn't Nebulon only do the one song (Enough) for the "In the Shadow of Death" compilation album?

Well, they last updated their website in 2007 saying they were working on new studio material. Haven't heard anything concrete since then. Still not giving up hope unless Samuel comes out saying that they are done. [-o<
