I've been sporting a neatly trimmed (short-ish) full beard now for the past 18 months. I can't imagine not having a beard anymore.

It's funny how beards have come into style. Where I come from, to grow a beard is a super deep personal choice, and a symbol of an absolute and deepening commitment to God and His church...and mostly for married guys...often after their parents pass away. Growing up, it was strange to see someone with a beard, and we would look to see if it was someone we knew, or someone from our faith...that, or a Jew, or an occasional hippie. Now beards are everywhere. I'd imagine that by about now, they would begin to fall out of fashion again. ...Myself, not a beard guy.

It always kind of amuses me when a guy who has had facial hair for a long time shaves it off. Their face has adapted to the hair, and when it's gone, it's like they have to relearn using their facial muscles when speaking.

Fine thank you! I'd like to post more often here, but I don't really know what to say when no one else is posting.

Had a Pet scan recently...actually, I had two. The first time, the whole time I was in the machine, the display showed a big red "666" directly above me. I also noted that it was a Siemens machine...a Nazi company that used slave labor during The War. Anyways, I guess I was too Metal for their system, because it seems I broke it, or at least it was broken (something about a converter). So I ended up, a full week later, going to their brand new location and getting scanned again on their brand new machine...there was no "666" at all this time. Anyways, I thought of you.

By the time all this is done, most of the original pain I was complaining about, has gone away...whatever.
