Well, uhm...
Japan shouldn't, just shouldn't.
You know?

Personally I don't like Maximum the hormon or babymetal. Babymetal pretty much because I do understand the lyrics and I prefer pop to be pop. But they are pretty big there and even serious musicians love them.

Japan + metal = they have room for everything and they get followers so they can make their music. Sometimes too unique but one thing is in common. They do it from their hearts and with 110% of energy and its something that really made me to like their scene(s) because I as a christian should have same kind of attitude.

I think this song wouldn't be done ever in Finland:

Or this is just perfect (^_^)/

(even its half italian/greek version of it)

This thread is just full of all kinds of awesome! Mauritz, even though the song you posted has too much 'core in for my liking, I found it to be highly entertaining.

Vily, your first recommendation was just insane! I actually enjoyed it a whole lot.

First impression of it wasn't good but I'm addicted to that song. Other ones of same band hasn't impressed me at all.

This is not metal but one of my favourite Japanese bands:

They have no limits, that's why it's more often than not sounds horrible. I enjoy that first Maximum The Hormone-track the most here though.

What confuses me the most are the lyrics that are in english, they just don't make any sense at all, do they?

Engrish is familiar site. Some sick stuff there.

Most Japanese are not very good in English so the lyrics are very hard to understand often. You also see lot of typos in them. Many times
on the official websites too have plenty of them. I have never tried to read lyrics and translate them directly into Japanese if they make then more sense but
maybe they are just setting up new dimensions into English and we understand that decades afterwards what they meant. I prefer to shake my
head and enjoy as much as possible.
